The most powerful tool in Pilates. Taught the way it deserves to be.

The reformer changes bodies in ways that no other training modality can. Spring-loaded resistance that works with the body — not against it. Full range of motion. Simultaneous strength and stability. Adaptable to every client, every injury, every limitation that walks through the door.

Teaching it properly is one of the most valuable skills in the movement industry right now. This is where you learn to do exactly that.

WHY THE REFORMER

What the reformer does that nothing else can

Yoga builds flexibility. Weight training builds strength. Physiotherapy rehabilitates. The reformer does all three — simultaneously, in a single session, adapted to the specific body in front of you.

The spring-loaded resistance system loads muscles concentrically and eccentrically at the same time. It trains the body through full, functional range of motion — building the kind of deep stability and precise strength that protects joints, corrects imbalance, and genuinely reduces pain. Not temporarily. Structurally.

Athletes use it to recover from injury without losing performance. Post-surgical clients rebuild on it when nothing else is appropriate. Desk-bound professionals decompress a spine that has been compressed all day. People who have been in chronic pain find, sometimes for the first time, that movement is not the enemy.

"The reformer doesn't just strengthen the body. It teaches the body how to move well — and that changes everything that comes after."

— McKenzie, Founder, Unify Pilates Academy

WHAT YOU'LL GRADUATE KNOWING

The full
Reformer repertoire

The full reformer repertoire

Foundation through Advanced — every exercise taught with precision, with spring loads understood, and with the ability to modify or progress for any client.

Spring mechanics and load management

The reformer is a nuanced piece of equipment. You'll understand how spring tension affects the body, when to load and when to reduce, and how to use the machine as a diagnostic tool — not just an exercise platform.

Applied anatomy for the reformer environment

The same deep anatomy coverage our graduates consistently praise — applied specifically to reformer mechanics, client positioning, and the corrections that make the difference between a good session and a transformative one.

Teaching for pain, injury, and recovery

This is where the reformer earns its reputation. You'll learn to work safely and effectively with clients managing chronic pain, post-surgical recovery, hypermobility, and structural limitations — the clients who need you most.

Group and private session design

How to structure a reformer class that challenges a room with mixed abilities — and how to design a private session that feels completely personal. Both are essential. Both are taught here.
