01 You observe a live class
You attend real Unify Pilates Calgary classes as an observer — watching how an experienced instructor reads the room, manages a mixed-ability group, cues on the fly, and makes decisions that no manual can fully prepare you for.
02 You debrief with the senior instructor
After class, you sit down with the instructor who just taught. You talk through what you saw — what you noticed, what surprised you, what you didn't understand. They share the reasoning behind the decisions you observed. It's real-time feedback on real teaching, not a case study from a textbook.
03 You ask the questions that actually matter
Why did she modify that exercise for the client in the back row? How did she know to reduce the spring load mid-class? The debrief is yours. No question is too small. This is the conversation that turns watching into understanding.
04 You practice teach on the equipment
You have access to the studio equipment for supervised practice teaching. You step into the instructor role — cueing, correcting, sequencing — with mentors present to support you.
05 You receive mentorship throughout
Beyond the structured observation and debrief sessions, you have access to the Unify Academy education team for ongoing mentorship throughout your certification.
